On October 9th Olivia ran into a table in the play area of McDonald's and slit her forehead open. It was pretty scary, there was a lot of blood (always seems like a lot when it's a head wound!), and the stitches were pretty traumatic for her! Luckilly the ER doctor did an amazing job stitching her up, and as you can see in the last picture it isn't all that noticable. :)
This picture shows the 5 surface stitches. There were 7 stitches total (2 of them were internal because of how deep the cut was.
After she got the stitches out they put steri strips on her wound to keep it from re-opening because it was bleeding and trying to seperate.
Now, the flash may have whitened it out a bit, but as you can see the scar is healing up wonderfully! We have to apply mederma with sunscreen a couple times a day for a year, but it will definitely be worth it!
